Howdy all,

We're moving from Hawaii this weekend to Henderson, but my fiancee's new company's Christmas Party is Saturday night and doesn't allow children. Does anyone know any TRUSTWORTHY, REPUTABLE and RELIABLE 24hr type daycares or babysitters that could watch our intelligent and well-behaved 9yr old daughter for 3 hours that evening???

Obviously, if we cannot find someone, I just will not go and he'll go by himself. But I thought that if there is such a place out there that other locals have trusted with their children, this would be the right place to find them.

I'll probably become a regular on this board once we're settled in, but for now, if anyone knows of anyone out there that we could trust - please let me know!

Thanks!

Please don't take this the wrong way, but even if I did know someone I would never put them in the position of watching someone else's child that I have never met. My daughter does occasionally babysit.... and believe me it is just as scary for the parent of the babysitter as for the parent of the child being entrusted to their care. My daughter has been approached by numerous people at various locations inquiring as to whether or not she babysits. I always offer to have them bring the child to my house the first few times so that everyone can feel a little safer. Also, the first time she goes to their home I may or may not go with her. As far as actual child care centers, I personally don't know of any that are open past about 6:00 PM

^^^^ lol id never leave my future kids there.

to the op, if your kid has a game system or something like a ps1-ps3 or whatever, let them bring it. it usually keeps them behaved and gives something to do. works for my little cousin who is an absolute nut when he doesnt have atleast a gameboy in hand lol
