Who is the go to guy/gal/company around town? I cant get my iMac to connect to the fileserver (not a real server just a win 7 machine). I continue to get "connection failed" I'm not interested in messing with it. I just want to pay someone to come fix it.

Who?

Thanks

MacGeek appears to have dropped off the grid. Haven't seen a post from him in a couple of months. He knows his Mac stuff for sure if you can find him.

I'll betcha this is Win 7 not accepting the incoming connection. Macs will try to connect to anything. When you set up the home network, WinBlows will hand you a cryptic password with lots of upper and lower-case letters, and numbers. It will be a useful, easy-to-remember, case-sensitive password such as "Xw45fuu84GaEe." Any computer that tries to connect without first saying, "Xw45fuu84GaEe" ain't getting in. If you think connecting a Mac to your WinBlows network is fun, try connecting a DirectTV box sometime. That's a barrel of laughs.
