That reminds me. I wished I'd asked for more basil at Settebello's too, but I do love basil. If you're like me be sure to request more there. I'll have to try Grimaldis now.

Finally tried Dom Demarco's pizza over the weekend.

I liked the pizza. Very good tomato sauce and good quality cheese.

I would make some modifications next time I order pizza.
No basil or extra oil. I have heard they sprinkle olive oil all over it.
Extra tomato sauce.
Undercooked or light cooked. Crust was very well done and dried out. Not good for reheating although my wife likes it this way.

Very close to my house which makes it nice.

Sad to announce that Custom Pizza has closed. This was always my go to pizza not only because it was good but very close.

I tried Grimaldi's Pizza and thought it was different but good. Almost like Settebello without the soggy crust. It is right down the street too which makes it nice.

I love Grimaldis at Boca Park and Fashion Show Mall and I will say the same for 800 Degrees at both Monte Carlo and SLS.

I finally tried Settebello and did not care for it. I would call it limp pizza, as the crust is similar to soft pita bread. No plans to go back. I will stick with Grimaldi's for now. Looking forward to trying Pizza Rock when it opens at GVR,

I'm a huge fan of Pizza Rock. I'm hoping the GVR location still does the $3/$5/$7 happy hour, but I am thinking the casino setting will nix that. We just took some friends there the other day - personal pepperoni pizza, Gorgonzola beans and 2 32 oz. PBRs for $15. The pizza is some of the best I've ever had. I have to go to Chicago on Monday for business, and I'm going to have to side with Scoop on the pizza argument (lightning may strike me dead, I know), but although I don't care whether or not they call their version "pizza" or not, it doesn't hold a candle to Pizza Rock.

Note that I have never said that Chicago Deep Dish Casserole is "bad." (It's a sausage and cheese casserole -- what's not to like?) Only that it isn't pizza.

Make Buffalo Wings with chicken tenders and Korean barbecue sauce and it's no longer Buffalo Wings. Make a Philly Cheesesteak with goat meat and feta cheese and it's no longer a Philly Cheesesteak. Even if the new dish tastes great, its better to call things what they are instead of what we want them to be.

That's why we get that godawful stuff that passes for Parmesan cheese in this country. That's why most (not some, not much, MORE THAN HALF) of the olive oil for sale right now in America has either zero or trace amounts of olive oil in it. And consumers don't know enough about olive oil to know when they're being duped. The difference between real olive oil and fake olive oil is exactly like the difference between real maple syrup and "table syrup." Anyone who has had the real deal can taste a fake. I know when I'm tasting fake olive oil. How many others can say the same? And yet they think they're qualified to speak about pizza.

If a bunch of Albanian moonshiners made a brown swill that made people blind and sold it as "Kentucky Bourbon," we would be justifiably hopping mad. But yet we do it with Parmesan, balsamic vinegar, champagne, and PARTICULARLY sherry. Cheddar cheese comes from Cheddar, England. Sherry comes from Jerez, Spain. Parma ham, Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar all come from the area around Parma, Italy.

We should insist that we get what we pay for. Because currently, we're buying counterfeit goods and paying good money for it.

The other day, I had to order 3 Settebello pizzas in order to be full. I am 5'10" and weight 160lbs. They are tiny personal pizzas for $13/each.

This is only problem with Settebello, their pizzas are the best but need to make them bigger.

Im sure their owner know that real pizza Napoletana in Italy is much bigger!

I agree with Pizza Rock being the best in LV (so far)..
I got a groupon deal for Windy City Pizza. So the price was right and thought I would try it.
It was excellent, for Chicago style pizza. The groupon was for large, 4 topping pizza, 2 salads, and 2 cannolis.
Great deal, great thick pizza.
