I used to work on the strip but recently resigned to focus on finishing up school and doing an internship. My internship, although paid, is minimum wage. I'm looking for a second job that pays above minimum wage, even if just a bi. I don't know where to start because I want it to be closer to my area (Summerlin area or Southwest preferably) and I've always worked on the strip.

I qualify for (part-time only):
Office/Administrative assistant (but this would most likely conflict with my internship hours)
Retail
Anything customer service
Marketing/PR/Social media
Graphic Design
Or anything that requires great typing speed (I type really fast lol).

Just to note: I'm under 21 so I can't serve alcohol and although I was briefly trained in management, I never officially got the position because I resigned before it (they trained me but a position didn't open up before I found a better paying job). I'm looking for ideas on what companies/places to look for?

what experience do you have and when you left your previous job, did you quit? or resign with notice? (2wks etc)..

The under 21 does hurt you...

How long were you are your previous jobs...Are you over 18

Steinberg Diagnsostic call center and Xerox call center pay quite a bit over minimum wage. You might try front office positions at the local urgent care centers as well.

My experience primarily is in customer service areas (I worked in a restaurant and some retail outlets). I've had about 2.5-3 years of customer service experience at this point. My shortest job was 4 months and the next ones were over a year but less than two years.

I briefly did an administrative assistant job for 4 months before relocating. These aren't on my résumé since they weren't paid but I did a lot of volunteer activities in high school including tutoring, washing windows, and designing promotional material (I still do this, but I recently found some freelance gigs for it).

I left on good terms with all my jobs (2 weeks notice). I'm over 18 but under 21.

You may want to try applying as an interviewer at UNLV's survey research center
