question in the water bill "water charges" is directly related to "waste water charges" right? like however much water you use then you will produce however much waste water. my water bill this month is 30 dollars more than last month! usually it's within 5 dollars difference. for Nov bill I got charged 7 dollars more for water, and waste water was about 22 dollars more. maybe it got colder and I have to let water run for a little bit befroe getting the hot water. but my last Dec bill wasn't this month either, it was about 35 dollars less. odd

For 2 months combined, my light bill is 100 bucks. I can deal with that.
My gas bill with deposit is 50.

You must live in NLV or Henderson.

In the city of Las Vegas and county, you pay a fixed annual fee for sewer service based on the size of your water meter, and whether or not you have a pool (approx $221 and $243 a year IIRC). No part of the sewer fees is based on actual water usage.

My understanding is that in NLV and Henderson, there is a portion of the sewer fees that is (water) usage based, and it is billed on your water bill.

Make sure your AC units are efficient. We had every toy possible to make our bills cheaper in summer but an old AC unit for the second floor made it all redundant. We just got solar and our next step is to update that old unit.
