Good Morning,
I am looking for a school or agency that conducts Customer Service courses. I don't even know where to start unfortunately. Google is not being my friend. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Wouldn't it be industry specific? I think a business course would be more beneficial. Customer service, for the most part, is an entry-level job that should be attainable with no experience. It's personality-based, and you can't teach that.

Hi Raiderman,

Actually, we're finding that many applicants are lacking these types of basic soft skills. A personality helps and true you can't teach that, but there are very basic things that can be taught across the board.

How about schools that teach proper phone etiquette in the work place. This is the problem with the new recruits out of high school. Can't put their damn phones down for 30 minutes. If they get caught, they just go sit on the toilet for about 45 minutes playing Angry Birds and checking Facebook. I have written up over a dozen offenders since the holidays.

Even the people at the fast food joints are checking their phones before taking your order.

what is the reasoning for going to customer service classes.... i will hire someone with absolutely no experience before someone with a "school". i get to train and mold exactly how i want the service to be done..

I am confused by this whole topic. Why would somebody consider a person who lacks these basic skills for employment. If the original poster needs some staff training done. There is a thousand agencies nation wide out there that will train and consult with you for the proper fees.
