To Mrs. Mudd and Wimpytaco: Have either of you made it yet to SLC? If so, what's your take? Hope you enjoyed it!

Default Difficult transition too

Julia, I am glad you have shared this valuable information. I have recently moved from Santa Monica, Ca. Everywhere you turn in SM you can find some sort of spirituality. Las Vegas is just the opposite. I'm sure it's out there, you just have to dig for it. I just need to find my "peeps". Thanks again!!!

That'll teach me to judge a book by its glittery cover--lol!

My relocation here has been very difficult, for reasons that I'll spare y'all from, but when I felt the bleakest and most dejected and despairing, lo and behold, an advertisement for Science of Mind magazine showed up in my mailbox. I started "tripping" around their Web site and saw the link for the LV church. Three days later, I was there. Coincidence? Personally, I think not....

It's still rough for me, but I feel much better and quite hopeful. I'm dying to tell you more about the services, etc., but I'm going to hold back because you/everyone deserves the opportunity to have their own unique first-time experience and take on the center.

The one thing I will say is don't be put off by the 10:30 service being described (on the site) as the youth service. It's filled with adults, and there's a nice surprise at the end.

If you do make it to SLC, I hope you love it as much as I/the rest of the congregation do!

Namaste!
Julia

I was interested in metaphysical shops also. I'd be surprised if there were not even one somewhere in the city...
