Is this a real thing here? If so how does one get this job? I feel as if I'd be a magnificent cooler. I'm not being facetious, I really want that job.

Myth.

But, of course, the casinos would welcome your efforts to be an unofficial cooler.

Casinos are doing just fine on their own.

Coolers, eh? What a novel idea.

Gotta love how people believe stuff in the movies is real when it comes to casinos.

That same issue came up on the TV show Las Vegas. Come to think of it the Flintstones too. Barney drank Fred's last cactus cooler and Fred went off.

Here's an awesome tale of a real 'cooler': Eddie Davis.

The Las Vegas Dealer

Anyways, loved the movie The Cooler. William H. Macy and Alex Baldwin were great! The 'Shangri-La's' casino interior scenes were filmed at the Golden Phoenix Reno in Reno, NV. The casino was closed due to remodeling.

-Cheers.

The cooler is scheduled to air on dish network on 2/17. Oh yes back to the Flintstones the cooler on the show was Sleprock.

I'm thinking about going to a strip casino on Wed and just looking for a hot table. I'm going to sit down and see what happens, just for poops and giggles.
