Well I am coming to Vegas in June for a fact finding mission. Originally myself and my friends were coming and I like a FOOL waited on them so we could all purchase our tickets at the same time. Well 2 months ago the tickets were apprx. 220 flying Northwest which is the airline I always fly. Now they are almost 400!!! So I found frontier for 257. Has anyone ever flown frontier ??? If so what was your experience?

Flew Frontier from LV to Santa Fe. They were fine. Not sure if you're asking about anything specific...but we got there safely and on time.

I flew USAir last month..paid $900, round trip for 2, plus it included hotel and rental car. And i thought that was a good deal.
Almost went on Spirit Air until someone let us know it was really crappy. Hope Frontier is better.

Remember, it's not the plane, it's the pilot. Just make sure he doesn't get drunk first.

We fly Frontier exclusively. I have flown most of the domestic airlines and Frontier is my favorite by far.

Naw that's Delta with the drunks I think.....

Always remember....the Pilot is the guy that hits the ground first.....[maybe we should make sure he didn't just break up with one of the flight attendants n wanna off himself]

Thanks for all the input everyone!!! I checked again and Northwest is now 398.00 to frontiers 257.00 however NW is non-stop roundtrip. Since I don't like to fly in the first place I think I'm going to pay the extra and only have to get on 1 plane. Plus since I'm staying with family I won't have to pay for anywhere to stay so I guess it will all balance out.

My next question for all you oh so helpful Vegas locals is ... should I reserve my rental now (with flight) or wait until I get there?

I usually fly Southwest. Except for a few instances, with a SWAL Visa and trip rewards, we haven't paid for a ticket in years. SWAL is almost always on time because they don't assign seating. Some people don't like that, but it makes them much more efficient. You should make car rental reservations in advance. With 40 million visitors a year you never know. I don't think they ever run out of cars but why take a chance. Go on line and shop around for the best deals, but I've discovered that I get the best deals directly from the airline or rental company if I call and talk to an agent. Also, if you take the time to register for the car rental company's "club" you might get an even better deal. If nothing else you get better service. For instance, I normally use Dollar, but last summer I found that even though the daily rate was more, National didn't have a drop off charge for the car I rented in Pittsburgh and dropped off in Jacksonville. So it was a lot cheaper to go with them. Then I joined their club and found that at the airport all I had to do was go out to the lot and pick out a car without stopping at the counter inside the airport. Dropping off was a snap too.

Oh, so that might explain the major turbulence for 3 of the 4 hours on the flight back home??? Was scary.
