I have done it twice. Both times they folded. The fun one was over a charge for collecting the freon from an AC repair. Was no where in the contract but they insisted. So I took them to small claims. I declined to settle for the bill and court cost. Said they would have to show up and I would then win anyway. So they threw in an extra $200 and I settled.

Hi, sorry for the segway, but those who've found honest ac contacts may I ask for their contact # please. I've heard too many horror stories aside from experiences already express here on this post. I moved here Feb last year and I'm looking to get my ac inspected and do any maintenance work on it if necessary. I don't know how old it is but I think it is quite old. I don't want to be without an ac or have it seize on me in the middle of summer. My next project is to look for someone to install an evaporative cooler. Hopefully I won't have to use the ac much until it gets to about 100 degrees.
