All in all it seems like a Catch 22 if you're trying to get into a gaming establishment. They want you to have the card, but the only way to get one is to have a place hire you.

Thanks!

First get the job. Then you can go get the Sheriff's Card. The company will give you something (letter - form) to show that you have a prospective employer. Pay the fees (around $140 total) and get your card! Simple.

Sorry to hijack the thread. A few questions: Is a Sheriff's card needed for every type of job or for certain types of jobs only? Per the link Raiderman provided two posts above will an out of state driver's license work as proof of ID or do you need a NV issued driver's license? Thanks in advance.

-Cheers.

Not all jobs need a work card. Mostly casino jobs and certain jobs where you would handle money.

Unless they have stopped doing this, and I doubt it, you should be able to get a chit to pay for your work card at Nevada's JobConnect.
