Not having been to any hotel on the strip since they instituted parking fees, I was wondering if valet parking has become more popular. Pay $10 at self park versus the fee at valet.

Have they raised the fees for valet as well? Last time I valet parked on the strip, it was free except for the tip for the attendant. Has that changed also?

I believe that for most properties valet parking is more expensive that self parking. I haven't keep up to date on the effect on valets, but I remember hearing that for some properties they were no longer employed directly by the hotels but were now employed by outside companies.

I would suspect that valets were the hardest hit by the move to paid parking. It would make sense that people either wouldn't want to pay extra to valet. Even if the costs were the same they would be reluctant to tip or would tip less after having to pay for parking.

Last I was at Monte Carlo valet is $20- $25 self parking is $12- $15. I think that's the same for all MGM properties.

If I am paying $15 to park my car myself and walk I'll just add the $5 and valet.

I took my girls to Bellagio on Halloween to look at the conservatory. i think we were there 30-40 minutes and it was $20. It's disgusting that locals do not get any sort of discount.

$20.00 to valet at most properties.

But you know the experience is "very enhanced," per parrot working for these hotels. How, they hung up on me.

Free was just fine for enhancing my parking experience.

MGM just couldn't stand to lose that little bit of cash that allowed the valet guys to make a living wage. I hate MGM. I hate their stupid, ugly green monstrosity, I hate the fact that they did a hostile takeover of Wynn's Mirage and Bellagio. There's more, but MGM was not a good thing for this Valley, and of course, they started the paid parking trend. They are also reportedly going to replace the Bellagio fountains with a shopping mall.

Just to put it in perspective, I paid $70 for 18 hours overnight parking of my rental car at Sheraton Denver. the least to say, I was thoroughly pissed.

Why not just uber over? If you're fortunate, it actually make may be cheaper depending on day and time you go. I also live like 3, 4 miles to the strip and many times walk over. Why not just park at Tropicana or Treasure Island which are both still free correct?

I Lyft it to concerts at T mobile.

I was mad too about the take over of Bellagio, etc. But look at what Wynn built and added to Las Vegas. WIN!
