I'm looking to either a) rent an apartment in an apt complex for 3-4 roommates or b) renting a house for 3-5 roommates, both for about maybe $350-$450 maximum including utilities and all that.

However, I also want the area to be decent in terms of safeness. It also should be within a 15-20 minute drive to UNLV and maybe 15-25 to the strip, if possible -- obviously, the less the drive the better but I know some areas close to UNLV and the strip aren't safe to live in. Even a better bonus if it's near a freeway entrance.

I want to know what specific zip codes, neighborhoods, cross streets, community names, apartment complex names, etc. to take a look at.

Thanks

Really not a good idea. Might sound good on paper but 3 or 4 people chipping in on rent means someone, most likely you, will get caught holding the bag. If your name is on the lease the landlord will stick you with the eviction or small claims judgement when the others flake out on you and move out or don't pay. It's tough with even 2 roomates let alone 3 or 4. Sounds like you are way underfunded. Could be a very bad start in Vegas.

To rent a 1 bdrm condo in a decent part of town you are looking at about 650/month and that doesn't include electricity and gas utilities.

If you want to rent a 3 bdrm house, you're looking at 1k/month and most of the utilities would be on you.

The more roommates you have, the more trouble you could potentially have. Someone short on this month's rent? That burden will fall on the other roommates.

Expect your fixed costs to be at least 1200/month. If you don't think you can get a job that supports that, then moving is not a good idea.

I read that to be $450 each. While a house full of roommates certainly wouldn't be my cup of tea, at $450 each, that sounds like a doable plan.

I agree... more than doable if someone has good credit.

or OP could live in one of these mass of humanity complexes.

350-450 per person for 4 roommates would be 1400-1800 rent budget, assuming everyone pays their share which roommates don't always do. I'd look in Henderson 89074 or 89052.

89012 is nice and has this 5 bedroom listed for 1700.

89052 has this 5 bedroom for 1695.

Sorry but if my property manager came to me asking if I would rent to 4 or 5 unrelated people I would just laugh.

Food luck tho, hope you can work this out somehow.
