I would go, and I support it...as long as they don't ask for any tax dollars.

It's going to be a dog-fight for the last franchise. Sacramento is the favorite to get it BUT nothing is etched in stone. The stadium rendering looks fantastic! Las Vegas' (geographic) rival would be my beloved Real Salt Lake. An MLS team in Las Vegas would be a success. I wish the city best of luck!!

-Cheers.

Im not sure about this one. MLS main season is in the summer as opposed to most other leagues that play in the fall/winter. Soccer is relentless and playing in 100+ degrees makes for very uninspiring soccer games. Why not build a multi purpose stadium since UNLV (and the LV metro area) needs a new stadium. Multi-purpose no longer means the kingdome or veterans stadium.

They'll ask for tax dollars, its a city backed project as are all the projects in Symphony Park.

I would be interested to see who gets the last team. Sacramento just got a USL team that is picking up steam. The drawing for the LV arena looks awesome though.

I used to work a mile from Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots (and the new england revolution). I could certainly spot which team was playing by the parking lot either being filled, including the overflow lots, or the tumbleweeds and the Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Western music in the background..

Austin, Texas; Minneapolis, Sacramento, California; San Antonio and San Diego...tough field to compete against. At any rate, I'd much rather see an NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL franchise land here as I couldn't care less about soccer. However, I understand the obstacles in having that happen at the moment. So, if a MLS team can come here and be successful, more power to them. And if that could possibly pave the way for getting a franchise from one or more of the aforementioned big four leagues to come here, all the better!
