Going over 215 bridge heading north/south on durango, there used to be 2 scorpion pieces in the median. One on a rock, and one of the ground, and they were in attacking position. Was the coolest road piece Ive seen when driving in Las Vegas. A month or so ago, we noticed one was missing and it never returned. Any ideas? I hope it wasnt stolen but wouldnt be surprised

Maybe the wind knocked it off but I wouldn't be surprised if it was vandalized/stolen. =/

From what I read after there was one of those decorative road pieces stolen, it is dam* near impossible. They are heavy and are anchored in the ground. But, where there's a will there's a way.

Plenty of those sculptures on Durango pass Alta all the way to Vegas Dr. Also you can find them at the intersection on Alta/Valley View (Scorpion) heading to the Springs Preserve.

On a great length of Charleston Blvd from the Medical District to Peccole Ranch you will find metal sculptures. On West Cheyenne avenue all the way near the 215 you will find different metal sculptures, same on Rampart Blvd to Cheyenne Ave. Beautiful pieces.

Yeah the two scorpions were facing each other. The dark one got swiped.

The RJ Road Warrior called it a scorpionnapping I believe. It was supposed to get replaced but so far nothing has happened.

Note a big phony Saguaro on Rampart by Del Webb got hit. That is one of the ones filled with rocks. It was tilting a few degrees and had some pieces loosened. It has now vanished. There are also a few fronds on one of the phony palms on Durqngo that have been broken though they are still there. So mostly holding up pretty good.

Shame that people have to ruin it for the rest of us. Hopefully it gets replaced

I've also noticed more and more people putting these metal figures in their front yards.

I really like them! Wonder how much they are?

There's a place in Boulder City, sells metal flowers and such, but they are soooooo expensive.
