Shooting at a school bus. What is going on in this crazy city? Yeah, I know it can happen anywhere - but it's still so insane.

Im glad Im not raising children here. I would yank them out of the public schools here so fast thier heads would spin. Problem is, they are not even safe on the street. In daylight!

Common guys! this can happen anyware! and has happend other places. Did you hear about all those guns the school district has confiscated from some kids and prevented some shootings? This all stems from the home and maybe that's where people need to look instead of the city it happends. Would you think Omaha, NE is unsafe because of some troubled kid?

For the OP, they didn't shoot AT the school bus. The bus pulled away, and then the kids and 2 other people were hit with bullets at a bus stop from some stupid gang members. A fight over a girl so the media said.
Whatever happened to fist fights? Now it's guns. What a crazy world we live in.

I raised a bunch of kids here and they are good, hard working, moral citizens.

Obviously you don't have confidence in yourself as a parent to teach your kids right from wrong...because then you would know that it's not the location, it's the family life (or lack thereof) that breeds these violent teens......

And I am raising a 16 yr old G'son. An A/B student who has never FIRED a gun.....don't paint the entire city and all the kids in it with the same brush as the little slimeballs that did this.

sounds like the san fernando valley to me. fights happen so frequently at the local high school that they seem like theyre scheduled and sometimes for the dumbest reasons too. (what color someone was wearing, how someone was looking at someone else, girls, neighborhoods, etc)

and yea ! what ever did happen to fist fights ? my uncle taught me to fight and said if its a fist fight and you didnt start it, but you get dragged in, by all means go ahead. but if i ever use a knife or a gun, hed personally beat me into shape and id loose all respect as a person to stoop down to using a weapon in a fist fight. but then again, that doesnt mean i go looking for a fight.

This is for sure a parenting issue as it normally is in all of these situations where some punk brings a gun to school. It's too bad that there are so many lousy parents out there, that people think it should be up to the schools to not only educate, but also raise them.
