Summerlin backyard shooting ruled self-defense | Las Vegas Review-Journal
You are comparing windows to doors. A window is transparent, a door is not.

You are comparing rear attempted entry vs front entry. There is zero expectation of a person in your rear yard, but there may be an expectation of a person at your front door.

You are comparing evading a barrier of a six foot cinder block wall vs walking up to a front door.

The Summerlin case has very little,if any similarity as the current case.

Will he or wont he get indicted will be up to a Grand Jury.

Anyone who has been trained in firearms will know shooting at an unidentified target with an obstructed view is a big NO NO.

Nonsense. Daylight versus middle of the night. Five shots versus one including one in the back.

Shooter has a peephole which provides a wide angle view.

Both cases involve the area near the house which is considered part of the home.

But why continue this fruitless argument. The DA will resolve the case in the next period.

That one will be interesting. The old dude is clearly the aggressor which causes problems with the stand your ground laws. And the victim was in possession of the home whether he had a right to be or not.

And would a reasonable person have been in fear of life or harm when holding a pistol?

I would think this will not be a successful SYG case...maybe in FL but not here.
