I thought it mediocre food, and plenty of it. Like a buffet.

The Cracked Egg, and the Grand Lux Cafe (in the Venetian) are good. Really good. Baby Stacks (as was mentioned above) is also very good, but finding a table is hit and miss. Too popular for its size.

The Cracked Egg opened a new location recently in the shopping center at the corner of Hualapai and Charleston, right next to Firehouse Subs. Poshburger Bistro was in that location before but only lasted four months (at least Bachi Burger is nearby).

The folks that own The Cracked Egg are pretty good at finding locations. Since they are breakfast and lunch only, they tend to locate near corporate centers. That makes for a great BK and lunch place. Not so much for dinner.

Get the coffee cake instead of the toast. You'll thank me later.

Have we mentioned SmashBurger and their sweet potato fries yet? The rest of their food trends a little salty, but if you've got a craving for sweet potato fries those are delicious and a pretty common chain around LV.

Also ice cream floats with Haagen Daaz and IBC....MMMMmmmmm

My favorite place for breakfast used to be at Terrible's casino. They had something called Loco Moco that is a bed of rice, topped with a hamburger steak, a fried egg, and then brown gravy over all of it. Hangover cure! But they don't make it anymore now that the casino is a different name.

Loco Moco is a Hawaiian dish, so you can get it at many places around town, including all the L&L BBQ locations, Aloha Specialties inside the California Hotel downtown, Kauai Cafe on Tropicana, and almost any other Hawaiian restaurant.

So even you, who didn't find anything special about their food, still found the company to be special in some way, compared to other fast food chains.
Yes they are like McDonalds when they first starting opening and the hamburgers were halfway decent. They are still little tiny hamburger patties.
Eventually that will change.

Since Albertson's doesn't have a club card/discount program like Safeway/Von's and most of their stores across the country are falling apart, I don't shop there--ever.

Dunkin' Donuts is coffee-flavored water, which is why it's so much cheaper than Starbucks coffee. There are over 30 DD stores w/i a 5-mi. radius of my parents' home in RI--they have a cult-like following in New England. However, you will notice that most of the people who drink DD coffee are much heavier overall than people who drink Starbucks coffee because DD puts more cream/sugar in their coffee plus they have lots more options for very sweet flavored coffee (e.g., "Cookie Dough" coffee). Ugh.

Real estate is cheap in NV compared to WA because there are no jobs--well, at least no corporate jobs.

November will be cooler than you expect.

Baby Stacks does Hawaiian. Not my cup of tea, but popular with coworkers.

Wow. Interesting. I have always been very impressed with the food, and the presentation. Unique stuff. Better than any buffet I have had.

Portions are out of control, though.
