The freedom that China gives their RE developers, the environmental destruction is mind-boggling!

Yan Jiehe is referred to as the Big Bad Billionaire RE Developer of China! Up along the Yellow River in Lanzhou, a dusty city in NW China, where there once were dozens of mountains, he has decapitated/flattened the mountain tops to build cities on top of them. 3,000 machines and 6,000 workers have moved 100 million cubic meters of dirt. Part of the reason was to relieve pollution, the mountains hemming in the city's thick, sooty air!

Now, imagine, this happening here! Our Spring Mountains, Sheep Mountains decapitated/flattened to? 6-7-8,000 feet and new cities built up there, and yes, improving our air quality as well! And, wouldn't this also alter our climate here? Particularly, if this madness was taken further, and the Sierra Mountains in CA flattened! The Pacific storms, then, would all be able to sail west, with no obstructions!

Yup! Those living up on our flattened Spring or Sheep Mountains would certainly enjoy some cooler summers, but, at the same time, some frigid, snowy winters!

Yes, look out at our beautiful mountains here and be thankful this isn't China!
