2-3 years ago, they were hosting all those Tribute group bands, and I went to everyone of them, and I so miss them, how I wish they'd bring them back. Nicest part, they were held midweek, as I'm off Tues.-Thurs. which made it picture perfect, and I so love that concert space there!

If Genting goes ahead with their Echelon project (gotta see it to believe it, as I still have my doubts!), Fountainbleu finally becomes a reality, MGM with their concert venue, and along with SLS, this project may still prove to be a good investment for this new owner!

He probably should have. I wonder if they (Sands) even looked at doing so?

This place isn't gone, it's just getting a badly-needed makeover!

I think the f.. will be brought down and the land sold. Adelson will laugh all the way to the bank. Probably the best buy on the strip in years

Generally, I'm a big pessimist, but with the Fountainbleu, surprisingly, I'm optimistic about it. I really think its fate rests with the resumption of construction at the Echelon site. Some potential buyer is monitoring this situation closely, just waiting for guarantees that Genting will actually carry thru with the revised Echelon project.

Genting has said construction will resume this summer, and hasn't summer already arrived?

Definitely was overdue for a makeover and fresh start. Never was the same after the Star Trek Experience shut down, the cafe always had good breakfasts and we enjoyed going to Benihana occasionally. Lots of potential if Siegel is successful.

Good to know as I have 5 tix for October's RTRV show with the Benihana's Japanese Restaurant combo pkg for a birthday celebration so I'm glad they signed a year contract! I also have used a deal for $65 a night for the weekend that I hope they will honor once the transfer of ownership is complete. I have always liked this place and the quietness of the rooms and relaxation when you want to get away from downtown and the Strip after a hard day.
