I grew up in San Bernardino. It used to be an OK place -- 40 years ago.

Nowadays, if God decided the world needed an enema, He would surely choose San Bernardino for the point of application.

No, your bill should not be higher than $300. Make sure you bring a compass with you, and make sure you do not have major windows facing either east or west. North facing are the best. South facing can be OK if there is some roof overhang or upstairs patio overhang to shade the southern windows. Ideally, get a ground floor apartment as heat rises.

I have lived in Las Vegas since 2009 and never had an electric bill over $200.00. My highest electric bill was $181.00 in summer 2012. I also have west and south facing windows with no shade. I run 2 ac units at 2 tons and 2.5 tons. Pick a house or apartment that is a newer build and your electric should be lower than older houses.
