Hi I am considering moving to Las Vegas next spring, and I was trying to find out more information about RN positions. Here in Dallas in the ER we get about $3-4 for night diff and then we get a diff. for the weekend. I have found that in Las Vegas at UMC and at St. Rose that you do not get much of a differential for days and nights but I haven't found anything for weekends.

Also do any of you fellow RN's have any preference for the County hospital, St. Rose or Sunrise?

I, too, am a Texas transplant who just moved to the Valley. I'm working at UMC and the night and weekend differentials are nothing to write home about, unfortunately. I think it's 1.25 for third shift and 2.00 for weekends or something to that nature. Weekends are paid from Friday morning until Monday morning, which is better than where I came from and causes the weekend differential to almost break even compared to my differentials in TX. Previously, weekends only counted from Friday night until Sunday night. My base pay here is a LOT higher than in West TX, and from what I've heard I am working at the lowest paying place in the Valley lol

Bennies are excellent though, so I can't complain (yet)
