You'll see a hole in the radar reflection, south of Vegas, probably just south of Boulder City. You see the green and blue reflectivity rotate around it.

Weird.

It's like an area of max anticyclonic rotation inducing the null, as I was watching the thunderstorms build to an ugly yellow and red, just south of Henderson earlier this morning (4am), and it just moved out west, in an anticyclonic rotation.

Actually, speaking of weird things... around 10:45pm tonight just as the heavy rain was hitting the NW area (US95 at Kyle Canyon Road) I saw some truck just north of Kyle Canyon Road, and east of US95, seemingly driving along the power line road, flashing some weird red laser type thing. At first it looked like lights on a fire truck, or a tow truck maybe, but once it caught my eyes, it seemed far more focussed and directional. Tried to shoot some video from the Kyle Canyon exit, but it was dark and too far away.

Even more odd, it seemed to intentionally shine the light directly in my direction just off the side of the road. There was a big white cargo van type thing parked on the side of the road as well, making me wonder if they were together somehow. It was all white, backed up to the desert (so I couldn't see plates). It didn't have front plates, and there were no logos or markings on the van.

I tried to drive down Ft. Apache to get closer to the power line area, but the rain was coming down so hard at that point my visibility was crap. Weird stuff.
