Seversl people have told me henderson is great but I was wondering about summerlin and the north west section. Also someone said something about green valley. I am not needing schools except for college but my kids drive. I was not aware that las vegas gets snow sometimes, how often does that happen?

There are dozens of great neighborhoods. If you've never been here, I recommend coming out and seeing for yourself which you like most, as the question is completely subjective. Regarding snow, I believe the last time was 2008, and it was gone in the late morning.

There are a few nights where it drops below freezing in the Winter, but not often. Just look at historical weather online, and you can find the answers to what is typical.

Ok thanks I will. I am moving for health reasons and need a dry climate. Nellis will be a big bonus for me. Safety is the most important but i lve to walk to the store etc. I am told just being able to get to places easily and get out of town spots easily. Is there a ton of traffic? I would think it would take forever to getnsomewhere by car. I will be renting before I buy, for about a yr or so to get an idea and am really excited about it!

The last snow I remember was in 2010. It fell thick but didn't stick.

Ok I am reading that post and would like to add I will be living on about 4000 a month and need dog friendly places. Will be helping out the kids until they get on their feet and get through school but we should be able to.do this with there putting in also. Would rather be able to get to a good gym and a city pool for laps or have my own pool. I still don't know how that works in the desert must be too expensive and feel kind of guilty for asking. Love lve urban life but then bei out in a smaller area isn't too bad either especially for the pets but the best thing is being able to get up and with a free day walk some ways and find all you would need. Of course people watching is great!
