I'm going to HD tonight to buy it! I HATE scorpions!! I can't stand to look at them, I don't even like to get close enough to kill them. And it concerns me with having dogs. Thanks.

they get into your house from outside.... if you found some inside, they are very likely to be outside and very close to your house.... go out there with a uv light at night and a hammer

we have lots of cats in the community i live in..... and lots of scorpions and lots of crickets

The crickets may be what is attracting the scorpions. IIRC they are a favorite meal!

Well, I HAD never seen scorpions out here. Met a neighbor on one of the Aliante walk ways tonight; he had a black light and spotted/killed a dozen scorpions in the 5 minutes we talked. He has had his yard sprayed 4 times and we see him out every night with a black light.

He believes they are bark scorpions. I have a handheld LED black light, so I grabbed it and took a walk. Cool, but gross:

They were mainly just in the baseball sized+ rocks, these are the ones that act as a flood basin in a rain storm.

Happy to report nothing in my yard and really nothing remotely near my house. This infestation is a 10 minute walk from me.

If you kill the ones you see, they won't eat the other bugs. The presence of the other bugs (ie, food) will draw in more scorpions. You may only be making the problem worse.

Figure out what the other bugs, who are likely herbivores, are eating, and get rid of it. It's likely plantings on or near your property. I had heard of this in the Phoenix area, where people had fruit trees. The fruit brought in the prey bugs, which drew in the predators (the scorpions.)

that is interesting... I know my garage is a cricket paradise, but bombing doesn't do anything to get rid of them long term. there is nothing else in the garage they can really eat except cardboard.

Easy. Release Scorpions to kill the crickets; release cats to kill the Scorpions; release badgers to kill the cats; Release lions to kill the badgers; release a pack of hyenas to kill the Lions; Recapture the hyenas and sell them to someone who needs to kill a pride of lions.
