in the water bill there is "water charges" and "waste water charges" are they proportional? I have a leak in drip irrigation the water doesn't go into sewer, but this month the waste water charges is also pretty high

when you guys say your water bill is xxxx, that's the total for that month's water bill right? and not just "water charges" in the bill? cause there is also garbage pick up, SNWA misc charges etc

North Las Vegas has water, sewer, and trash on the same bill. June was a pretty hot month. I paid $15 for water, $39 for sewer (one meter so I pay as if all my yard water goes to the sewer), $14 garbage, add some taxes and I paid $93 total. I have a fair amount of grass and a 4k sq ft house.

thanks so much for clearing that up! I was so confused as to how come everyone's water bill is so low. so yard water goes into sewer and counts as waste water charges, what if it rains like last few days?!?!?!?!? we get charged for that?

yeah June I paid 33 water, 42 sewer, 14 garbage, 101 total. I got about 55 plants 3.6k sq ft house. but usually my bill is about 55 a month for everything. gotta fix the drip head leak! one month last year it was 80 then next month went back to normal, not sure what was that about.

question for drip head the one with red marking is that 1 gallon per hour? how about no color marking (all black)

hmmm so water usage and waste water ain't proportional since we got similar waste water.

may I ask you how many people in your house and your bill in colder months?

I believe you can pay for a culinary meter and not pay sewage charges for water not going to the sewer... I should research that more.

Not sure about the markings on the drip, I use the adjustable ones and they are all black.

My total bill on colder months is $40 to $55 including sewer, trash, and water.

2 people and a dog, so not a ton of water usage there. The vast majority goes to watering the yard. I have 6 fruit trees, 1500sq ft of grass, two dozen Cyprus, and a bunch of other plants that need a good flow drip to live. I use a large softener that also wastes a bit due to a slightly aggressive regeneration cycle.

thanks so much.

so how come in summer time it's almost doubled? irrigation is twice the amount to keep plants healthy but shouldn't take that much should it? and we both don't have pool

My extra summer cost is 100% landscape. Instead of watering 2 times per week I increase to 6 times with longer run times.
