Voodoo on top of the Rio has amazing views and you can relax on the patio and watch the sunset.

A bit off the strip... Capo's Speakeasy.... You'll be able to do 2 entrees, appetizer, and bottle of wine for about 100

Primarily Prime Rib at South Point. I ate there and the atmosphere is great!

Thanks for all of these suggestions! We still have a few more weeks to decide. I'll try to remember to get back on here and let you know what we went with.

I will second PPR @ South Point especially if cost is a factor. Nice atmosphere, and for a under hundred including tax & tip, you can get out of there with a nice salad, entree & side, dessert and an acceptable bottle of wine or a couple of beers.

It ain't Lawry's but I think PPR it is the among the best values for my money in town.

I would also recommend Oscar's Beef, Booze and Broads steakhouse. Nice white tablecloths and wonderful attentive waiters. I have been there for our anniversary and also for a friend's birthday. The wine list is reasonable and the food is awesome. I was a little worried it would be a bit tacky with a name like that but it was a very elegant classy restaurant. Get a table with a good view and tell them it is your anniversary. The side dishes that you can order as a single or as a grouping of 3 are quite large and ample for 2 people to share.

Funny coincidence. We literally just celebrated our 12th anniversary at PPR at South Point just a couple days ago. The medaillions of beef forestiere are rich and delicious. Make sure you tell them it's your anniversary beforehand.

We just did a party of six at Mon Ami Gabi. Ran about 65 per head with significant drinks and wine. With a shared salad and easy on the wine you will get close to $100 for the two. And note our price was with tip. - got nailed for 18 percent on house rules for 6 or more. Can't complain though we had a good time and might well have gone 20%.

They do a steak and Frites thing that is quite nice. The steaks are thin and chewy but very tasty and the fries are delicious.

We have always used the place for parties when we wanted strip and not to break the bank. There are a number of better restaurants but none that top the ambiance and the value.

Get there early with a reservation. Request the patio and then have a drink at the bar to the patio side of the restaurant. A very pleasant experience. Make sure they know it is an Anniversary and you are local. They take pretty good care of us.

Now I have too many choices! I'll have to keep coming back to this thread for each of our birthdays! Several people my husband works with also recommended The Barrymore. Any thoughts on that one?

By far, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris. Overlooks the Bellagio fountains, they have all kind of VIP experiences, special tasting menus with several courses including wine pairings, the works.
