Hello all, we have serviced our two cars. Just wondering where does everyone take their vehicles to get fixed? There seems to be so many places to go, just trying to find a good honest mechanic at a decent honest price, anyone like that in Vegas ?? Thanks for your time!

I have taken my previous cars to TJ Auto ...on Tropicana just east of Pecos...he's an Asian fellow that would know what was wrong with my car and then give me a good price on the repair ( I used to call around to see if I can get it cheaper, never was cheaper than him).

Hard to find an honest mechanic but for car maintenance I go to Purrfect on Russell / 215 and Purrfect on Flamingo / Fort Apache. Satisfied with the shops work. One of the two Purrfect Auto shops said I needed a Serpentine belt a few months ago, I waited and during an oil change at the other Purrfect Auto shop, the mechanic informed me the same thing. I still did not have it replaced but instead I bought a Serpentine belt myself at Auto Zone a week later, better quality and brought it back to the second shop and paid them for labor to have the belt replaced.

I've been using Purrfect for a very long time now, I have had no problems with them. Goodluck!

I've been very happy with Japanese Car Service on Spring Mountain near Lindell. Of course, if you don't have Japanese cars, this won't help you.

[orphaned] I second Japanese Car Service, the owners are 'old school' and will be honest and upfront with their service.

We and a small number of people we know use Dr. Auto. Two shops both on Craig. One if just west of Rancho on Craig and the other is further east in NLV. Both seem to do a reasonable job and I have felt fairly treated over 10 years. I also have a nasty vehicle that they hate. But they keep trying.

Carl from Carl's Cool Cars has been great to me in the few times I've dealt with him. Honest guy, good mechanic, and just a cool dude all around.
