I checked Google to find an item I needed for work and Bass Pro looked like the best place to run in and just pick it up without tourist traffic ect. I've been to a few of their stores in other states and never really understood the big deal over them...I'm more of a Gander Mountain fan. Anyway OMG the store here IS amazing! So much for just picking up what I needed and getting home...I spent 2 1/2 hours wandering that wonderland AND the employees I dealt with were very helpful.

I'm looking for an excuse to go back!

I dig it too, and I'm not much of a sportsman really.

I'm not even a "sportsman" and I love that place. It's HUGE and has so much stuff, it makes me want to take up camping. Too bad I hate bugs.

For those that like to go to the range, Bass Pro is one of the only places not gouging on .22 caliber ammo.

I wandered in there on my last trip out there. Coming from NYC, it was quite a revelation.

That huge fish in the one aquarium is blind. No eyeballs. Took me 3 trips before I noticed.

True, but unfortunately they are usually out of it.

Cabela's online is your best bet. Even there you gotta be quick!
