They have installed a tower crane and there is a panel on the front corner near the top. I think it is safe to say it is a go.

Wonderful news. Originally they said it would be ready by 2019. If the stadium is done by 2020 the strip is going to look much different in 2 1/2 years.

Believe it when the doors open for business! I'm rarely on the Strip but read something that their is activity. Until you see some cranes set up and working don't believe it.

I am drywall, not concrete. Will be a while before drywall shows up. But I have the foreman's phone number. PCI has the framing/drywall contract.

I assume a different union. Given the vagaries of the construction business (one trade might be how while another is not), can you be in more than one trade union?

Concrete is covered by the carpenter's union. Most of the work is the guys setting the forms. Those guys are carpenters.
I COULD do that but I hate wood. I'm a metal guy. BUT I still might go for it because I have been wanting to do that project for 3 years. Probably my only chance to build a resort casino on the strip.

I did get word that someone is in the process of buying Fountain Blue. But who knows what that will end up. There's talk of abatement bids but I think it's too far gone to be feasible. I am guessing tear down and redo. Since it's next to the arena it could be anything.
