My neighbor told me about this event .... sounds interesting but it's a little pricey for what it is.

If you are on Facebook, "like" pages of bands/musicians you would love to see... Generally when a tour is announced, Facebookers are the first to know.

Not only is it pricey, but you're trapped there. Only way into the event is by a shuttle (which is a separate price) and that's the only way out too. Horrible planning. If it weren't for that, we'd probably go.

Pfft, I'll drive right down the road, and walk in. All I want to do is take some pics.

You can't. The road is blocked ... when the buses drop you off it's still a 20 minute walk to the event site.
Rise Festival | Because every dream needs a voice.

I'm thinking that once the lanterns rise you'll be able to see them from the hwy, but I'm sure the Hwy patrol will be there to move people along .... cars pulling off and onto the hwy would create a dangerous situation. Could you see them from the Gold Strike parking lot where the shuttles load?
