Your not giving enough information. You need to tell us if you are looking for suggestions, or just asking what we like. You also need to tell us if by "Snowbird" that means you live here during winter. If you want suggestions, then tell us if you're into the outdoors things, or shows, or museums, or what.

BTW: See the Mob Museum.

I suggest that anyone who is living here full time or part time get the book, "Out From Las Vegas", Adventures a Day Away", by Florine Lawlor who's column, Adventures a Day Away has always been popular here.

  7. Paaaaaah-RUMP!
  8. Soak in the ambiance in the drainage tunnels under Las Vegas
Do these, and I'll give you new ideas after you have completed the checklist.
Now this is a good list. I have been to Pahrump several times(not by choice), myself and friends collected over 200 porn slapper cards in one night, I participate in "Dig This" in real life for work so no need to pay and I have been in the entry/exit ways of most all the tunnels. Bodies Exibit is next.

If you have never been to this area before then I would say you must schedule time for Hoover Dam. There is an excellent visitor's center there and for a fee you can take the tour of the inside of the dam.

That is a "must see" for a first time in Las Vegas.

That's all I'm looking for.
The point is we are all different. Do a search and you will find a lot of people's must sees. This question is asked over & over.

I do. I would have loved to see the Liberace museum. I love the "good old days" of real Vegas acts like him. I just watched "Behind the Candelabra" on HBO. (and I will never be able to unsee Michael Douglas and Matt Damon making out)

Ugh. I didn't even see it and that's quite the mental picture to try to erase.

I forgot to mention in my list of Must See Attractions -- The Great Unconformity. I don't know why anyone would come here and not see it. One of only two on the planet. The other is in Scotland. I plan on going to Scotland to see the other Great Unconformity in the very near future.

That's number one on my list of Must See in Las Vegas. Number. One.

Spoken out of true selfishness by someone who thinks their entitled to something just because they were here first. Maybe you should be locked out of this forum since if everything has already been answered, there surely is nothing new you could ever provide to the thousands of readers. In reality, threads go cold, new people join with new input, new sights and things to do pop up in Las Vegas all the time. Be more open and receptive towards your fellow humans, that's just something we all learned as children but many have obviously forgotten.

Some simple, must see things: Hike up Lone Mountain (it's fairly easy and has great views, a great option as the weather cools down some). The Gold Spike downtown is neat, as is the Pinball Hall of Fame. Go up the Stratosphere. Check out Freemont St, and while you're there, the Nugget's pool. Continue to ask questions, as that is the reason forums like these exist. There's no shortage of fun things to do, enjoy.

Since I might have been here the longest (not sure anymore), it's hard to come up with something I "must see" in Las Vegas. I suppose now I must see the Downtown Summerlin shopping center. But as an old timer, I suggest that all newbies go see Jubilee at Bally's while you can. THAT is old time Las Vegas, but also an enjoyable show. At one time those Parisian type reviews were like Cirque du Soleil is today..all the hotels had one.
