It varies by season.

In the summer, people often spend their free days seeking refuge from the heat in air conditioned gyms, movie theatres, and malls. Or just cooling off in the pool. Day time temperatures can get brutal, I'm not going to lie. Summer evenings, on the other hand, are pleasantly mild. This is when people start to migrate outdoors - you'll often see people out walking their dogs, and local parks often hold free concerts on the lawn. BBQs are also fairly popular.

Spring and fall are often the nicest, weather-wise, for outdoor recreation. In addition to the usual shopping and movies, you'll also find people taking hikes at Mount Charleston or out boating at Lake Mead during the day.

Winters in Vegas are really something else. Holiday shopping is big out here - people really get into it. Holiday parties are big too, for that matter. Recreationally speaking, there's usually snow in the mountains, which tends to attract large crowds (MC actually has a fairly nice ski resort).

Depending on my mood i either stay home and clean the house. Or go out walking, bike riding or hiking.
Other times i spend a day shopping, and on sunday i am online all day playing games. Or watching movies all day.
It varies.

Depending on my bank account I usually stay in and watch movies and drink

Seriously between school, work and church I don't have time for much else. Besides its cold outside now so I'm really not going to do anything.

Do you want to know what fun things there are to do, or do you want to know the boring things we actually do?

LOL...i bet people don't really want to think that we just stay at home and do boring things when we live in Las Vegas.

I saw comedian Bill Maher at the Joint at Hard Rock on Dec. 21. (I saw Chris Rock in Nov. at Comedy Festival at Caesar's) And since then, I'm back to doing what everyone else is doing on the weekends...hanging out at home.

I'm expecting, God willing, to see my favorite uncle and favorite cousins in town at the end of January. Can't wait!!!!!! One of the cousins is doing very well in the entertainment industry in L.A. and insists on treating us all to a nice dinner and then the Beatles show at Mandalay Bay. Thank you, cousin Randy!!!

And after that, will maybe go once to Springs Preserve, then back on the sofa or in front of the computer till it warms up outside. In spring, hoping to explore those great natural wonders "outside Las Vegas" with Outside Las Vegas.

DOH! I just check my cousin's e-mail: LOVE (the Beatles), 7:00 p.m., at the Mirage. Thanks for pointing that out, Chest!
