I haven't had any problems with dropped calls with either my prepaid Verizon or my AT&T line.

I've had T-Mobile the last 11 years.

Great for in town only.

Terrible once you barely leave outskirts of town.

Verizon is what I plan on switching to soon based on what I've seen from it travel wise.

I've had several customers in the 7 Hills area of Green Valley complain of terrible coverage with Verizon. In fact we had to use my AT&T phone to call VZ tech support on a few occasions. VZ's answer? Buy a VOIP device to piggyback off your internet.

We have AT&T & seriously considering switching to T-Mibile. I spoke to a vendor at an event on Tuesday & they are offering $100 per month for unlimited calls/texts & 10gb. This rate is for up to 4 lines. The small print says "while on our network". Our current monthly bill with AT&T is about $250 for 3 devices and the bill doubled when we drove to Reno a few months ago. I suppose the takeaway from that trip was next time switch to airplane mode.

That was probably a microcell they recommended, not a "VOIP device".

What plan are you on? I'm on a mobile share with AT&T.... 3 iPhones.... unlimited talk and text, 10GB shared data..... $131/mo including taxes after my 22% company discount. AT&T is also running a promo on their 15GB and up shared data plans now through the end of the month------>data doubled for same price.

Or you could learn how to use the controls already available on your phone that affect roaming

Sun City Summerlin. East of 215 a few blocks. Verizon. Absolute crap. We've been customers for going on 30 years and we're considering dumping them. For what we don't know, but this is unacceptable.

One thing I love about T-Mobile is on Android phones they have Wi-Fi calling built into the phone. Since I have perfect Wi-Fi coverage at home I have perfect call clarity from all rooms. Luckily I have Wi-Fi in the entire building at work too, so most of my calls aren't relying on cell towers.

When we had Sprint you had to sit in a certain chair with your head tilted to the left to make calls. I wish i was kidding about that.
