We are arriving today in Vegas. We will be staying at a hotel on the strip for 4 nights. Do we need to rent a car or use public transportation? We are planning on staying on the strip or going downtown. Thanks, Liz

Depends on your budget for your trip ... but honestly, I would go for the rental car...

I normally recommend renting a car...however, if you are only staying 4 days and staying on the strip, I doubt you will use it much. 4 days isn't much time, you can easily spend all 4 days on the strip, so you'd never need your car. You can take a taxi to downtown for $25 + tip. If you choose to stay in downtown, then I'd recommend renting a car. Enjoy!

you can rent the car for less than 25 per day... last one cost me 11 per day on priceline

Depends on how far you plan to venture out from your hotel and how much walking you're up to in over 100º heat. The Strip is four miles long. From the Strip to downtown is another four miles. There are buses though. But if you plan on seeing any of our off Strip attractions you'll need a car. GPS wouldn't hurt either.

Oh, I see you're arriving today. The temps will be in the mild 90's with a slight breeze. Very nice weather, but you'd still be in the hot sun if you walk anywhere...and you probably won't get this because you're on an airplane.
