Anything cool going on? On the strip? Downtown? When? Where? Any good links?

Just a bunch of people waiting hours in line for Thanksgiving dinner.

I can't imagine that's a fun way to spend Thanksgiving. We're going home to CA the day after Thanksgiving, so we can't cook Thanksgiving here (I don't want to take up precious cooler space w/leftovers). I made a reservation at Marche Bacchus and won't be standing in a line. Only $44 per adult for the prix fixe Thanksgiving menu.

Yeah, I can't imagine doing a buffet either. Make reservations at a good restaurant instead (and if you haven't done so already - it's too late).

Fremont Street will be doing the usual line-up with live entertainment - which is a good thing.

Bill

One time I flew out to Vegas Thursday night after Thanksgiving dinner, for the long weekend. It actually worked well.

It also was not mentioned that a good Thanksgiving buffet for 2 costs about equal to 2 weeks of groceries. Not too difficult to decide which one wins out.

I used to buffet it for Thanksgiving but after people watching, no thanks. There's some nasty mofos lurking around this city. That would be a good docudrama, "Buffets: What's really for dinner."

What time are you guys getting in line for buffet? I plan on arriving at 5am !

Then Thursday night the annual midnight waiting game...take tent, sleeping bag and pillow, wait outside store and run, smash through and run over dept clerks for that $1 item that they will run out of even though you were first to get to it!

I doubt that you are serious but either way, be careful out there.

Just off the strip, bistro buffet, fell in line at 10:35 am (opens at 11:00 am). Got there an hour or so earlier and no line - so I read my book at the sports book and the wife played the slots. Checked on her and she's down to $18 from the Benjamin, hits a bonus round, says hit that one, I do and she gets everything back + $2.00. I'll write home about the corn chowder. The roast chicken was actually better than the turkey - which was outstanding. We'll be going there again next year.
