I find it rather ironic one of the "founding members" is Bill Boyd. He said he thinks Las Vegas is a great market for hockey. Funny coming from him whose casino evicted the Wranglers.

I have a feeling that this was all part about Vegas getting an NHL team and seeing no need for an ECHL team in the same market. It would be amazing, if we can get the Wranglers back as the AHL affiliate for the Vegas NHL team. The AHL is supposedly expanding to the West to allow its Western NHL teams easier access to their prospects. The Kings, Ducks, Sharks, Oilers, Avs and Coyotes are all on board, why not Vegas too?

I hope you are right, but if it's just AHL then the arena issue returns. I don't think MGM is open to using its showplace on a minor league team. It didn't seem open to offering the Wranglers one of its smaller arenas. Is Orleans really going to change its tune just because this is a higher level of minor league hockey? I have my doubts. This NHL effort really needs to work out because there are many options for an AHL team in the west.

Has anybody heard when we might see a rink seating chart or price chart for the season ticket drive. I hope to start hearing more news next week. We have 16 days to go before the ticket drive kicks off

I bet it looks something like the Avs for pricing.

I made my season ticket deposit yesterday. The team ticket reps are taking early deposits ahead of the official February 10 start. The phone number to the ticket office is 702-NHL-HCKY (645-4259) or mobile 702-209-8168.

Did you get details of pricing and seating charts? I'm meeting with one of the Founders for dinner in a week, I am sure the subject will come up.

Great to hear. So we can put in a deposit but just buy half or quarter season with it?

I didn't ask about half or quarter ticket packages. Just give them a call and see what they are offering on those type of packages. I read that one of founders being interviewed by The Review had already sold 62 season tickets himself. Add the rest of the founders, corporate/business sales and regular sale like myself and I think things are looking good for Vegas
