For viewing on TVs, they've already stated it would be available as an app on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Roku, and as a built-in app on several brands of smart TVs. They did not state support for Apple TV or Google Chromecast, but they did say additional devices would be supported over time.

Seems only a few years ago there was a scare about running out of Internet capacity, not enough domain names, too much data being pushed through the Net. Now there seems to be an unlimited capacity, 4K, streaming movies all over the place, everyone's cellphone is on the Net. I don't know how that problem fixed itself - I took a nap one day and when I woke up - capacity is a non issue. I'd like an alacarte plan because of the 999+ channels I have now - I occasionally watch about 5.

So, I just got back from CES and went to the Sling TV booth (got a free hat, woohoo!) Anyway in addition to all the channels I listed above for $20, you can also add an extra package for $5 more:

KIDS EXTRA: Disney Jr., Disney XD, Boomerang, Baby TV, Duck TV
NEWS & INFO EXTRA: HLN, Cooking Channel, DIY, Bloomberg

(and coming soon: Sports Extra)

Best of all, the service acts like a 3-day DVR, meaning you can access any TV show you missed in the last 3 days with a pretty nifty and clean on-screen navigation scroll at the bottom of your TV, laptop, phone, etc. It doesn't save it beyond that though, so be aware.

By the way, if you already have an XBOX one, you get a free one-month trial of Sling TV.

So, when do people have time to watch tv? I get up 2 hours before work, to get ready, make breakfast, eat said breakfast, and drive to work. Then I work 8 hours, but due to the 30 minute break, I am at work 8.5 hours (MUUUUUUCH better than the 12-14 hours I was working before) then I have an hour drive home thanks to the long walk out of the casino, and traffic. So, there's 11-12 hours of the day gone. By the time I get home and get showered, it's almost time to eat Dinner and go to bed. When there were still a few shows I watched airing (SOA and Breaking Bad) I didn't get to watch them until my day off, and even then it was hard as I had to go out and get everything done like grocery shopping, and taking the family on outings.
How are people watching 50 different shows a week?

By not sleeping

Do you think I don't want to? It's those TV networks Marge. They won't let me. One quality show after another, each one more brilliant than the last. If they only stumbled once - just gave us thirty minutes to ourselves. But they won't, they won't let me live.

The complete list of the 12 core channels is on the Dish web site, along with the two add-on packs of five kids channels and four news/info channels.

Let me google that for you

I get up an hour before work at 5 A.M. I get ready get a quick bite to eat and hit the road at 5:30 A.M. Get to work at 6 A.M. 9 hours later (have to take an hour lunch) leave work at 3 P.M. Get home around 4 P.M. (damn commuter traffic!). There's 11 hours of the day gone. I maybe watch an hour of tv when I get home. I work out take a shower. Prepare dinner and eat in front of the tv. It's now about 7 P.M. I watch tv and spend time of the internet until about 11 P.M. and time to get ready for bed. I go to bed about 11:15 P.M. with the tv on and then I wake up the next day @ 5 A.M. and do it all over again. Somehow I manage to watch about 5 hours to 6 hours of TV a day but I don't really sleep all that much I guess.
