Ah, didn't know that. I figured the casinos owned their own limos.

Most limos you see around town are not owned by casinos...yes there are limos still owned by casinos, but not nearly as many as non-casino owned limos. Also a lot of the limos that even have the hotel/casino logo on them are subcontracted through those private limo companies. Presidential, Bel Trans limos (two of the biggest limo companies in Las Vegas) are managed by the same company who also manages Whittlesea Blue Cab Company. They hire their driver's out of the same office but are still separate companies, a little confusing but its part of the system here in Las Vegas.

I take no offense to it because you're right. A lot of these dudes and gals driving the cabs and limos are HORRENDOUS.

I have a saying in my head that goes, "This M.F. shouldn't be driving period, let alone for a living"

One of these days I'm gonna slip, say it outloud and scare some poor tourist.

But seriously, either they go 90 or 9.

A lot of them think that because they are in the local transportation industry that they have more right to the road than the next guy.... Not at all how it works.

Agreed...it truly amazes me at some of the dangerous things I see often. They need more road supervisors out there contacting these bad drivers and getting them off the road.

So, when I drove cab, the office where I picked up my cab every day, had a loop playing on a tv in the lobby, showing various wrecks. All of them from the dashboard cam of JUST their cabs. They constantly had new videos to play.
Most cab drivers are horrible drivers. That being said, almost every wreck I have ever narrowly avoided, was the fault of a woman in an suv. This is not an attempt to be sexist, this is cold hard statistics. My wife will back me up on this.

In any given year, I drive well over 50k miles, most of it in towns, so I have a lot of experience.

Just to be clear, I don't want those rules. I was just typing hypothetically.

The auto body repair shops, the personal injury attorney's, the chiropractors, the pain clinic's, they love it, love it, love it! The sounds of the cash register ringing in their ears!

Can't you hear the champagne corks popping at Glen Lerner's and Adam Kutner's houses!!!

We have that too EA... After each impact, it is always the same classic reaction from the driver...
Sad sigh/moan, then dreadful look up to the camera to see it recording the whole thing.

I totally back you up on the women driver thing though... Not trying to be sexist, but seriously... It's rough.
On multiple occasions now, I have seen girls/women taking full fledged selfie photoshoots in their cars while driving.
I would MUCH rather drive alongside the old dude who took his driver's ed test in a Plymouth Fury 55 years ago than some ditsy airhead blasting edm garbage while texting.

The number one complaint I have with drivers in Vegas is the complete lack of awareness.
It's such a simple concept...
What am I doing right now and how does it affect myself and the people around me.

It's the selfish/inconsiderate people that make things difficult for everyone else.

Saw a bunch of that lack of awareness today. Numerous cars in the left lane on Sahara (3 lanes) deciding they needed to turn right. The fact that there were cars in those lanes was of no consideration. Less attentive drivers in those lanes would have ended up in an accident. Every one of them dodged the idiots.

And there was the guy in a Maxima that HAD TO BE IN FRONT OF EVERYONE on Cheyenne. And it had to be NOW, damn it! Dodged in and out of traffic going 15-20 faster than everyone else. I watched this dilwad start in the left lane behind me dance right, speed up past some cars, dance right, ditto, dance left, ditto, dance right, ditto, dance left, ditto, dance left, then swerve into a short left turn lane right in front of a big pickup.

Net gain? Two car lengths. He was right behind me one lane over when he started and the pickup he swerved in front of was next to the car in front of me.

And there's a feature in the eastbound lane of Cheyenne going down from 215 that is really nice. The right lane is separated for lighted intersections and doesn't have a stop light like the left two lanes do. Sweet!!
