Did you join the "Summerlin is not a town" enforcer group?

1. Henderson = CITY - 107 sq. mi. - 275,000 people
2. Summerlin = NEIGHBORHOOD - 30 sq. mi. - >100,000 people

Comparing Henderson to Summerlin is like comparing Las Vegas to Green Valley - apples and oranges, because you're comparing a city to a neighborhood.

Scoop is 100% right. Summerlin to MacDonald Ranch. Summerlin to Green Valley. Summerlin to Southern Highlands. Summerlin to Anthem. NOT Summerlin to Henderson. You can also compare neighborhoods within a city (Summerlin to Centennial Hills, Summerlin to Rhodes Ranch, Summerlin to Spanish Trail, etc.).

It's like asking how would you compare the State of California to Chicago..

Ummm.. it's not. Just like Anthem is not a town. Just like Nevada is not a city. Just like the US is not a continent. Do you really not understand that Henderson is a city, like Las Vegas is a city? And within those cities are neighborhoods?

Yes I know it is not a town. Enforcers are very gung-ho about this. Take it easy on the newbies who are thinking about moving to Las Vegas, because yes all they hear about Summerlin and automatically think it is a town. It's OK to let it go sometimes. (: That's all I am saying.

Reminds me of grammar police on the forums.

Yes, but you are not a newbie thinking about moving to Las Vegas, so I'm not sure why you would want to confuse them.

If someone asked you back in New England if Arlington or Boston was better, wouldn't you want to find out if they were inquiring about Back Bay or Blue Hill Ave in Mattapan? Same scenario here. Seven Hills vs. the streets between Water and Boulder Hwy... whole different world.

As stated above, Henderson is a city and Summerlin is a mastered planned community. You are making an apples to oranges comparison. I would not live in either place due to the location for my personal reasons.

The OP does not care. And if you haven't lived here for 5 years you are allowed to post. Guess I shouldn't post, but I don't care either...

Just the idea of saying "no posts unless you've lived there five years" is dumb in itself.

Some people get out a lot and their experience with neighborhoods and their surroundings excels.

Some people are hermits and watch Netflix every night rendering their opinion useless...
