I wouldn't deny that, but as the photographer says, the reason he could get such pictures is that most of those are LEDs. Even the city has gone to LEDs for street lights which saves tons of money in energy bills.

I'm wondering if, over the years, they've found a way to get more energy efficient with slot machines. I read a while back that a VP machine uses about 150W, double during payouts.

With the Luxor beam costing approx. $50/hour to run, I don't envy the casinos' bills. Most estimates are between $500,000 and $1,000,000 per month depending on the size of the casino.
