Hello all, been a long while since I have darkened these hallways.
(ok, since october )

One of the things I love about vegas, is the sun and the air, and I love keeping my patio doors open
at night (when it's cooler) and sleeping with a breeze, But I am worried someone may come into my backyard (easy fence hop) slice open the screen, and kill me, the cat, and my chickens.

I absolutely did NOT want a steel 'security' door even with pretty decorations its still a prison
(and it advertises HEY HE HAS SOMETHING WORTH PROTECTING lets rob him!)

I Have been searching high and low, and finnaly found what i consider the perfect thing.

Now here is a warning they are NOT cheap (around $1500 per door for a patio door)
but i think they are the PERFECT solution.

I'll bet you wouldn't have to worry about the dog or cat ruining the screen either!

How's the security on your pet door? A smaller/slimmer person could easily fit through that.

Depending on your budget, you should look into Pella blinds in the glass doors (Lowes sells them) they are really great and with the blinds built in, you dont have to clean them, and walk thru them.

Really one of the best things I have added to my house,

I'm glad your well

Thanks for the relevant post. I had definitely planned on purchasing two replacement sliders with mini-blinds inside the glass and now will look into these screens as well. They appear to almost be a solar screen to some extent. Unfortunately my sliders are 8 ft tall, so I'll have to gird myself up for a whopping estimate when I price these items out. Welcome back to the forum Mac.
