Hi all,

My boyfriend and I have been looking into apartments to say in Las Vegas for 6 months. We want something furnished -- no furniture rental. So far, the best option we've found is something like 702 Housing. They have furnished, pretty much all-inclusive apartments for a decent price.

We're not going to be able to work, so we're looking for a good deal without sacrificing safety or living in a craphole.

My question is: Does anyone know of any similar housing companies or apartments we could look into?

We'd like:
  • Furnished
  • 6-month lease available
  • 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath
  • Reasonable budget ($1250 - $1500 a month)
  • No area preference as long as it's safe. Henderson seems nice and safe but something central is also good.

Also, I saw that some gated communities offer furnished apartments as an option. Does anyone know how much more expensive the rent is for that?

Thanks a lot for your help!

why does it have to be furnished? You can find very cheap or even free furniture on Craigslist. And when you are done, dump it back to Craigslist easily.

Not sure I understand, but did you say you were not going to be able to work? Not sure that will pass the smell test of any leasing agent or not, even if you put all of the money up front. Which MIGHT be the only way you secure something. I could be way off since I'm not a landlord. Good luck!

There are plenty of rentals that will fit your needs, but without verifiable income you're going to have to put first last and a deposit.

You might want to check into holiday rentals....like airbnb, etc. it means paying up front but you can get a place for an agreed amount of time to at least create a base in town. Then you could search long tem. Not sure what you could get for your stated price range, but it might be an option.

check extended stay type properties, they don't require any credit check or confirmation of employment In looking at Craigslist, there seem to be quite a few (some of these are studios though)
