This is the US. Most people could care less about rail transit. The Europeans on the other hand...

Henderson officials are rooting for Uber, that should help some, as it's been difficult for those staying at the hotels in Lake Las Vegas to get cab service out there!

The demand is there! In an article in the paper, they found one Uber driver, for the short time Uber was in operation, to have made $3000 serving Henderson!

As opposed to the prostitution ring run by the local Limo Company?

That isn't a website. There is a Facebook page similar in name with some entertaining arguments and comments.

Nonsense hyperbole like this always surfaces in these political/union fights. Not a very persuasive argument.

If Uber means more options for rides to/from the bar off the strip I'm all for it. The taxi companies have no interest in servicing locals. I would love to have another option that's not going to cost me $100 round trip. Paying a taxi $50 each way makes going out to the bars pretty unappealing.

Do you know how much is Uber gonna cost you?
Back when Uber was in business last year, I got a quote and it was more than Taxi. The quote was from my house to airport.

Uber is not about saving money, its having choice of a faster service off the Strip and putting money in the hands of small local business people, not the cab owners. The cab drivers themselves should back this too add I am sure they would do better on uber but I suppose most are too broke to get started with the required level of car uber requires
