I just came back and lost $3200 at Red Rock.

I got extremely excited by this amazing strategy and couldn't wait to get out of work and get to the tables.

Well, if you have an infinite amount of money, you can just keep doubling your bet until you win back your original $100 investment. Sorry you lost. But it's a casino -- the only winning move is not to play. The Martingale strategy was debunked more than 300 years ago: Martingale (betting system) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Why didn't you send me the links sooner!!

Now I'm down $3200. No one told me about the $5000 table limit that kills the Martingale. I was ready to plunk down $6400 until the dealer pushed me back. Wife is giong to be pissed I didn't get her an 2015 Saint Martin LV bag.

Been here since the end of October. Life is finally calming down enough that I'm getting the Texas Holdem bug. Pretty soon...

People like me have fun going on "math rants"...

but it really wasn't a math rant at all.... it was merely a dumbed down explanation so you could understand how the house makes money in certain games

i do play tables games every so often, and i have "fun" figuring out what the catch is... you see, it's usually one little (main) thing that makes the game profitable for the house

Are you sure your friend's name is not "Wink" Martindale?

Almost as pathetic as someone who enjoys real gambling and socializing with real people from all over the world.
Hit a soft spot, did it?
Scoop hates Las Vegas and all that it stands for. It's not real hard to understand why, since people treat this town like an old ***** who is past her prime. Most of the people who move here are escaping something. Its not like most cities of it's size. It eats people, given the chance.

Some people move here with their heads in the right place, and they thrive. Raiderman comes to mind.

But people like Scoop are just pointing at the poo that was already there for everybody to see. They just ignore it.

ScoopLV is a big cuddly sweet heart of a man with a wife that I adore. I don't think he was obsessing about an April Fools joke.

Scoop is just bitter that he's stuck somewhere he doesn't want to be, and takes it out on the city every chance he gets.
