I'm in 89129 and I'm a Pisces.

I've seen only six or eight scorpions in Las Vegas in 50 years, and I'm a good wild life spotter. I know they're here, but haven't seen one since we moved into this house when it was new in 2001, and there was still a lot of new construction. At the time, we found a large dead one on the floor in the walk-in closet. I suspected the dogs killed it. Ten years prior to that we found one just like it - same situation. I think one of our Lhasa Apsos at the time liked to hunt them. About two months ago my wife called me in to kill one in the hallway - one look told me it was not a scorpion, but a harmless sun spider. I put a paper towel over it, stepped on it, and flushed it. Have seen only a few of those over the years, but suspect they get blamed for being scorpions all the time. Now, saying that, I'll probably get stung by a real scorpion.

Thanks that super useful info!

i live in an older neighborhood in spring valley, plenty of scorpions here. i was killing them on a daily basis when we first moved in

lived in a newer neighborhood previously far out west by the mountains, never saw a single one

they won't kill you, but i've heard their sting hurts like a *****... more dangerous to pets if you have them, tho cats are supposed to catch/kill them

I actually AM a Scorpio... but have never seen one in or near my home.. as was stated, they are highly territorial. One house will have them, the neighbor will have never seen one.
