The prices in Vegas dont seem to warrant too much money. But the high rises probably do. Not really sure about it. What do you girls think?

Estiatorio Milos at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas – this upscale Greek restaurant has a $20 fixed-price, three-course lunch.
The secret (and delicious!) $7.77 flat-iron steak special at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s Mr. Lucky 24/7 restaurant. Not on the menu, ask for it.
Want to bottom feed?
The Skyline Casino’s $1.49 shrimp cocktail.
The Casino Royale’s $1 beers.
The Silverton’s 99-cent biscuits and
gravy special.

Me neither. Oh wait, I went to the grocery store to pick up some chicken to grill for lunch. Last night I spent $6 at Pizza Rock for 2 beers during Happy Hour. My wife, 2 of our friends, and I ate for free in the GVR Cafe for dinner, and I made $30 on VP. So, overall, I didn't spend anything, actually made a couple bucks.

Gas/food/rent/utilities?

Of course people who live here spent money today, yesterday and every day. Unless they live in the drainage tunnels -- which apparently now offer internet portals for their residents.

Let's see. We budget to spend around $2000 a month. That's about $65 a day and we're able to save some of our income. If we wanted to spend that money it would be around $100 a day on daily expenses. We also could save considerably more if we decided to downsize and move to a smaller place in a less nicer area but then we might not be as safe.

I got my first El Super ad in the mail this week. They have a lb of chicken for 47 cents. How is that possible? That even beats Cardenas. They also have 8 cucumbers for 99 cents, 4 lbs of tomatoes for 99 cents, 5 lbs of onions for 99 cents, 4 lbs of potatoes for 99 cents, 2 lbs of apples for 99 cents, 3 lbs of carrots for 99 cent, 4 lbs of bananas for 99 cents, a container of strawberries for 79 cents each. It's like a produce bonanza extravaganza!

I've never been there but I'm on my way. At those prices I can fill a whole cart up for less than $20 bucks and eat that for 2-3 weeks.

Usually a buck for a bag of frozen green beans. That's as Las Veg as I get.

I've only mentioned El Super's prices a few dozen times. Maybe if I do so a few dozen more, people might actually try the place.

I don't even budget for food anymore because it's one of our lowest annual expenses. This is how my wife and I keep our annual spending in the high four-figure, low five-figure range.

But Albertson's gives away Monopoly game pieces and only charges ten times as much!
