If I could get 198 per sf... id sell....534k. Nice considerering I paid 252. Homes in my development are going about 135ish per sf...I want a few more years in mine then im out...

All the houses around us are asking $190 - $205 SF Down the street about a block and on the other side: $765k that backs to a golf course. 2819SF. $271SF

Shoot where I live houses run about $250 SF.... or more... And that's just on a plain old ordinary street with NO backyard or a very tiny one...

Another proof that real estate agents only work in the best interest of themselves, not the sellers.
If the seller is not in a hurry to sell and can afford to hold on to the property, why should he/she drop the price? But if the market goes flat with decreasing sells, the agent won't make money, and so be it.

I think the working assumption is that if an owner is listing a house, they actually want to SELL the property, not just leave it on the MLS after infinitum. That being the case, if it doesn't sell, the price should be dropped, or the listing pulled until the market reaches the point they want.

An agent certainly should pull the listing if he/she is not willing to continue with it. As far as the seller is concerned, there is always some starving agents out there who will be happy to list it again. It doesn't cost much for the agent to list it.

If they didn't care if they sold or not they shouldn't have listed it in the first place. Aged, overpriced listings are pretty much a waste of everyone's time.

The market is what the market is on any given day. Wishing it was different is spitting into the wind.
