Hi,

We are a newly married couple from Colorado.

We have decided on Vegas due to affordability and just the time we were able to secure baby sitter for our girls so that we can take off for our honeymoon.

We are in the process of booking and I would like feedback on hotels that have more of a honeymoon feel and less of a party scene? I have never been to Vegas, my husband has. I do not know if there's such thing in Vegas.

We really don't have a budget, but we do want a peaceful (as can be in Vegas) on a good location (does not have to be on the strip, we don't mind take a cab to the strip) that has good hotel amenities for couples, such as spas etc.

We are doing a whole week.

TIA!

Red Rock out in Summerlin. They have a shuttle to and from the airport. And a shuttle down to the strip.

Was just there last week for a business meeting held in a suite. OMG the newly remodeled suites are gorgeous! Very romantic!
Oh the view was to die for.

Ask for a view of Red Rock canyon. Breathtaking. And ask to be on a high floor.

Try one of the Wyndham timeshares, they will book to non-owners, and the rooms are very luxurious and well-appointed. Jacuzzi tubs and all. They also have spa packages.

Second Red Rock Casino. And if you rent a car, its just 10 minutes to Red Rock Canyon with a gorgeous scenic drive worthy of many photo opps for overlook stops on the drive. Congrats on the marriage.

Oh yes you want to go out to Red Rock Canyon.

This time of year the burros and wild horses are down from the mountains, so you might get lucky and see them.

Mohave Max might wake up soon. He's a mascot desert tourist that is at the visitors center.

While you are driving around go out to Valley of Fire. And why not Lake Mead. You can do all these in one day. Make sure you have a full tank of gas when going to Valley of Fire. First time I didn't and we were praying HARD. Oh Lord! Pulled into a station out by Lake mead and the car died. its ran out of gas.

I was living right that day my friend. And I don't even drink Dos Equis.

Your first trip to Vegas? Strip. Absolutely. Play the nice local places when you are older.

Mandalay Bay or the Rio if you are squeezing cost. Bellagio or Wynn if not.

When we were younger we always enjoyed the big suites at the Rio. In later years we had a corporate jet so we would fly home each night.
