After reviewing the threads on having dental work done in Mexico, I want to let you all know that Algodones is probably the best place if you choose mexico. I need so much work I don't have much choice. I tried individual dental plans here in the US and they are not good.
I was in touch with a friend of mine Mexicali about the best place to go. I was hoping to visit his family if I went to Mexicali! Coincidentally, he was in the waiting room at a dentist in Algodones. He is from mexicali and could easily go to Tiajuana. But.he said that medical tourism has raised the prices in Mexicali.
And, I have taken my cat twice now for surgery to California. The price for surgery Was 25 - 50% of what was estimated in Las Vegas.

You have all been so helpful to me, I'm happy that I may have news to help out others on this forum !

I won't argue that Algodones is a great place to get dental work, but that's one long drive down there, by car, on 2-lane roads. It requires you stay over in Yuma for a day.

I know one great dentist there, have seen him a couple times, but I prefer to just fly to San Diego, early morning, take the train to the Border, get my dental work out of the way in Tijuana, and then fly back the same day.

Look at the first icon right below senior member. It is a female icon just like mine.

No one here seems to be able to come up with an acceptable reason why anyone would have to leave the country to see a dentist. Maybe because there isn't one?
